"Definitely a big change from Atlanta water temperature but the kids still had a lot of fun playing. It was nice and quiet on a weekday during the summer"

"Nice evening to walk the shoreline and snap some pics. My Class of 1980 will surely recognize Sunken Road , The home to many keg parties and the town beach ,site of the Monday night skinny-dipping club. Y'all remember how we used to restack the picnic tables into different displays , and hid high up in the trees to avoid Officer Olsen."

"It's okay. Playground is fun for the kids. I like to have a bit more depth to my swimming though. Water level is great for the kiddos though"

"There is a nice play area for the kids with recycled tire pieces as flooring, two large pavilions for parties or gatherings, a score of picnic tables sitting under trees throughout the property, benches, locker rooms, bathrooms, drinking fountains, a concession stand, outdoor shower and places to wash your feet off. The beach is sanded and the water is roped off too keep swimmers in a safe area. Life guards are on duty. The water is not deep and has a very gradual grade. At it's deepest it's maybe 3-4 feet. The river bed in the swimming area is also sanded, making it comfortable to walk on. Daily parking costs $5. Cons for me include water depth, no trees around play area so equipment gets hot and no pool floaties allowed. Otherwise, it's an enjoyable place to visit once in awhile."
