"WORST CAR RENTAL IN THE WORLD I rented plenty of cars before and I could fairly say I hadn’t experienced anything like this before. I made my reservation online on Payless. When I got to the place they were understaffed. Therefore AVIS were taking care of Payless’ customers. Since I am an AVIS Preferred customer I made the line specifically for Preferred customers. When I got to the front desk, Joseph, the guests representative, told me that I skipped the line and I had to make the whole line again (the non-preferred customers line). I explained him that I am a preferred customer and it doesn’t make any sense to make the regular and since I got to the front already I asked him to take care of me. He refused to the point that I had to speak to the manager. The manager was a worse version of Joseph. Totally unprofessional. She accused me of skipping the line. She didn’t even want to rent me a car just because JOSEPH and another employee named SUMAJ told her that I made the Preferred line in order to skipped the line. But there’s ABSOLUTELY NO SIGN saying that a Payless customer cannot make the preferred line or even more that an AVIS Preferred customer who reserved on Payless cannot make the that specific line. Finally, after waiting for more than 2 hours they told everybody that they had no cars available. They literally screwed everyone’s day up."

"My first time renting with Avis. The wait time in line was less than 5 minutes and the service representative was very helpful and kind. I even got a better vehicle than the one I was expecting!! Absolutely will use your rental service again, and in the future."

"It was the worst experience in my life. I’ve been in the line for 3 hours from 11:30 pm till 2:50 am and employee MOKIS didn't take me in line after 3 hours of waiting for his own “reason” and said that he shouldn't do anything at all, but should sleep now!!! A very strange response and behavior of the employee during his working hours ! So I couldn't rent a car at Avis. I had to rent in another company, where I did not have reservation and it was more expensive because of this."

"I had a reservation for Saturday 1AM, there were only 2 employees to do all the job (including inspecting and release the cars). I am here for almost 1 hour and only three customers were served. One of the employees said that the company refused to hire more employees. Avis is using the fact that they are the only rental company open in JFK at 1AM to serve bad their customers. Ps. After two hours waiting one of the employees said to a laid in the line "if you don't wanna wait come again tomorrow". I left Avis without a car, I spent extra $165 to use an Uber."

"Couldn't have had a better experience. Received the stall number on the app before arriving, didn't even need to talk to anyone, just grabbed the car. Almost new with only 2k miles on it and no issues for over a week. Dropped off and received the receipt and deposit refund pulling into the lot. Right at the air train stop (10 minute free ride from the terminals)."
