"So I was sitting at the bar last night. And I have to give huge props to the staff there. Now when i say staff I mean my bartender Courtney and the wait staff I saw. I have worked food for a long time and I know it's mentally and physically draining. But Courtney noticed I wasent happy with my meal because it wasent cooked correctly and offered to have them remake it. She did and the food came out barely different. So no hate on her I just wish the kitchen cared more. But the drinks I had and the conversations I had with her and others there were very impactful and helpful. She really does care about people even if she might come off as a b****. we all can ... but she did great and she had a right hand man Albie who just helped her whenever she needed. And I loved seeing that. Food could use work. But your crew. They are a good crew. I will be coming back again just so I can sit and drink and talk."

"Consistently great! This is our third visit to an Appleby’s since we arrived in the US, and this is the third time it’s been great! The service is so good. Our server Keisha (I hope I got that right), was so good, fast efficient, friendly. She took the time to chat with us, we had some friendly banter and had an enjoyable time, she made the difference between a good and great experience. Regarding the food, between the three of us we had appetisers of onion rings, loaded waffle fries, and boneless wings with an Asian sauce, all of these were great, although the wings were a highlight. For entrees we had the bourbon grilled chicken, so moist and tender. The 8oz sirloin steak medium rare, perfect sear, perfect temperature, absolutely nailed it! And finally the penne pasta with chicken tenders with a honey sauce, also excellent. It was a lot of food that we couldn’t quite finish. Our entire meal was a very reasonable $86US The high quality and consistency we’ve experienced has made Appleby’s our go to when we don’t know where to go. We should go more often. Thank you Keisha. "Went in for a late lunch; place was pretty dead, about 10 people. Ordered boneless wings and a Neighborhood Burger. The good thing was that the Waitress/Manager completely comp'd my meal, which was very nice. The Waitress (blonde hair, didn't catch the name) was very nice, attentive, and professional. The reason they comp'd the meal, however, was because my burger was scary bad. The top bun was the least burnt; the bottom was completely blackened and had wilted lettuce piled on it to try hiding that. The burgers themselves had charred flecks of carbon, overcooked to the point of being literal hockey puck sized, and the cheese was bubbled up. Worse yet, it was cold...that means this was a rejected burger they tried to sell AGAIN. They tried selling leftovers, either from a messed up order, or another customer's refused order. My order was "delayed" because they were making fresh fries; which only proves the burger had been sitting around for potentially hours and they dumped the fries and "freshened up" the plate with new fries, or maybe even just refried the old ones. I hope the manager understands just how lucky they are that I'm no longer a Health Inspector. Not cool, not cool at all."

"Two stars because the waitress was nice. The food presentation got an F. Wait for food was too long. Giving small portions for the “All you can eat” is fine as long as you don’t have to wait long for refills. We waited a long time and the food came out cold. We didn’t get soda refills in a reasonable time. Other wait staff was standing around talking to customers. If they had that much free time, why didn’t they take other tables so our waitress could be freed up. Restaurant selection in Oneonta is terrible. But next time we’ll go to Burger King or head to Binghamton."
