"The Oculus near the World Trade Center is an architectural marvel that must be seen to be believed. The design is stunning, with its soaring white ribs creating a cathedral-like space that feels both futuristic and serene. Whether you’re just passing through or spending time exploring, it’s impossible not to be impressed by the scale and beauty of this structure. Beyond its striking appearance, the Oculus is a vibrant transportation hub and shopping destination. It’s incredibly convenient for getting around, and there’s a great selection of shops and eateries inside. The natural light that floods the interior makes even a quick stop feel special. It’s a place where you can admire the blend of art, architecture, and daily life in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!"
"From the outside it looks like a piece of modern art, inside very futuristic. It's basically a transportation hub for the subway, and Path station. You can also walk along the west concourse on 2 levels to Brookfield Place. Throughout the Oculus you will find many retailers, and places to eat. Throughout the year there are events inside and outside on the plaza."
"I gotta say, this place was pretty neat. Okay, first off, the architecture is BEAUTIFUL. It looks awesome both from the inside and the outside. There were also connecting buildings within this shopping center. On both an outside and inside view, this place is beautiful. The only problem is that all the stores here are kind of… the same. Sure, this place has a ton of stores, but they all feel like copy & pastes of each other. Other than that, this place is a must see!"
"The Oculus is an architectural marvel and an iconic landmark in New York's urban landscape. Its futuristic design and its imposing structure make it a must-see attraction for visitors and residents alike. Upon entering the interior of The Oculus, you find yourself immediately immersed in an impressive and bright space, flooded with natural light that filters through its sculpted ceiling. The feeling of spaciousness and modernity is palpable, creating a unique experience that combines the functionality of a transport center with the beauty of a contemporary work of art. In addition to its impressive design, The Oculus houses a variety of high-end stores and top-notch restaurants, making it a shopping and gastronomy destination. Whether you are looking for the latest fashion trends or simply enjoying a delicious meal with panoramic views, The Oculus offers something for everyone. Its location in the World Trade Center also gives it a symbolic charge, serving as a reminder of the resilience of New York City and a tribute to the lives lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. In short, The Oculus is much more than a transportation center or a shopping center; it is a symbol of innovation, beauty and resilience that deserves to be admired and enjoyed by all those who visit the Big Apple."
