"Fantastic place! My wife and I went here while at the Greek Oeak resort and we both loved it. I got the Virgil Elk burger which was delicious and not the least bit gamey. My wife got the meatloaf which was moist and full of flavor, as were the mashed potatoes she got on the side. The bacon the meatloaf may have been just slightly overcooked but this didn’t impact how it tasted. Cheese bread and this liquefied garlic butter was served with the meal which was also delicious. The server was attentive and professional. Would definitely come back again. Some of the best food I ever had in Cortland County."

"The tomahawk steaks are amazing, our group split it amongst the table. Staff every time has been top tier and accommodating. The remodel of the restaurant space came out great. Ended up using Carver's for my wedding dinner, they sat down with us to plan an amazing custom tailored dinner in the back of the main lodge, everything turned out great."

"This is what a steakhouse should be! Our server, Carly, was very friendly and attentive without be overbearing. She was also very accommodating even with out party of 8. I had the tomahawk steak. It was cooked to perfection. Accompanied by Himalayan pink sea salt and coarse black pepper. The fries were amazing as well. My wife had the filet which was cooked perfectly as well. Very satisfied with the food and service! Bar is fully stocked with great bourbon and scotch choices. Plenty of wine selections as well. Highly recommend this place for a.great steak."

"This was one of the only two restaurants that was open at the resort so we decided to give it a try. We had dinner reservations at 7:45 PM. Apparently, it was the earliest time we could get on a Friday night. We decided to walk down at 7:30 to see if we could get seated and to our surprise we got seated right away. However, no one came to give us water or introduce themselves for 45 minutes while we were sitting there and there were still plenty of open tables so it wasn’t like the restaurant was fully booked. Service was terrible - probably due to staffing issues and the reason why they gave us such a late reservation but I didn’t expect to wait that long. Our kids were asking if the food was almost ready and we hadn’t even ordered. By the time the waitress came around, we ordered drinks and food all at once. I made sure to ask for the kids food to come out first and good thing I did because our food took a while to come out too. Besides service being terrible, the food that came out was delicious! My husband ordered an aged sirloin from their special menu and it was delicious but quite pricey. $65 for just the sirloin. He got a side of baked potatoes but he said it wasn’t the best. Our kids got the linguini in marinara and I ordered the tenderloin tips. The ambiance was nice and made you feel like you’re in a fancy place (which it was supposed to be) but for the price we paid, service didn’t match."

"Cozy steakhouse inside Hope Lake Lodge. We ate there for two nights and liked all of our food both nights. The service was great, the food was awesome, and it is in a very convenient location. Warm bread served in a skillet complimentary. If I could, I would give it a 6 star review. It was easy to make a reservation and also easy to modify it, didn't have to wait for table, and the service and hostesses were nice. Definitely coming here again."
