"We had just painted our basement walls and ceiling. In the course of that work the dryer had to be moved and reset, causing the existing “Corrugated” flex dryer vent to be dislodged, from the fittings at both connection points. When running the dryer, I noticed some gaps, and duct tape which had deteriorated and had to be replaced. A little online search convinced me that a smooth, round rigid duct would not trap lint, nearly as badly as the corrugated flex material which had been in place. I called several handymen and appliance repair firms, but I could not find anyone to do this work. I was introduced to Thompson Mechanical through working with them on several major hospital projects literally decades ago. Since that time, they had installed my furnace and air conditioner, and I have called them for maintenance issues with my hvac system. I was very relieved that they would do this “small “ project at all, not to mention for a good price and in a very professional manner. Our installer (Matt Branaham) was first rate."
