"I was here for more than a year when I was a kid. I remember bald head Mr. Sterling looking like blade, Ms. Tiffany with the blonde bob, the ex marine guy with all the tattoos who explained why I had this “wanting to poke my foot sensation” that has never been understood by anyone but him since. I remember the 50 foot high climbing tower and getting stuck on top because i wouldn’t let go of a pole, I remember walking to cold stone ice cream for pints. i remember another girl there being named olivia, and another girl fighting her because olivia slapped me and she stood up for me. Great times. shout out crispy and the phat farm shoes they gave me for christmas. steelers won the superbowl against the seahawks that year if anyone knows what im talking about."
"I went to Belmont Pines a couple years ago for 6 days. I understand that there is limited space in the facility; making roommates necessary. However, i am not fond of it. I had one roommate that was telling me the hallucinations she was seeing. For example, at 11pm at night she turned over to me and told me that there was a shadow person with red eyes right behind me. I WAS 14. I was stripped searched and it was noticeable that I was terrified. I was trembling and tearing up standing there while they described and wrote down the articles of clothing I had previously had on. The second of the worst moments of my six day stay at Belmont Pines was when I was woken up by one of the staff right over my face saying “get up.” I did as she said and followed her to a room to get my blood drawn. She handed me a cup of ice water and I was drinking it and she yelled at me to drink faster. Like, come on, I just woke up so i can’t chug down ice water. I had a needle poked into me over 3 by a nurse. two on my left arm and once on my hand. I still have a red mark on my left hand from it. By far the worst experience due to Belmont Pines was when I got LICE. NO ONE in my family had lice prior and i didn’t see any other people prior to going to Belmont Pines. I am giving two stars and not one because one of the workers was a friend of one of my relatives. Lastly, there were a couple kind girls who made my experience better. PLEASE spare your child from any of these experiences that could potentially happen because it is truly not worth it. In my opinion, Belmont Pines did much more harm than benefit."
"My son attended both Belmont Pines Main and the Belmont Pines PRTF. I wish I could leave separate reviews, because the experiences were VASTLY different. The PRTF was absolutely life changing. My child was admitted with a wide variety of concerns. Extreme hyperactivity, aggression, attachment issues, and other intense/alarming behaviors. The staff worked very closely with him and kept me updated frequently. He received an education there, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, medical treatment, etc. Sarah was absolutely amazing, and such a strong advocate for us. Dave is another staff member that my child really looked up to. He set high but attainable expectations and really pushed my kid to do better. Honestly, this PRTF saved my child and gave me hope for the future. I can’t express how necessary this program is, and I’d love to see it expand to other locations. 5 stars for sure, but I’d give more if I could! End of 2023 my child spent a week in acute care at the main campus. (Before the PRTF). Horrible experience. Every time I tried to call or visit him was a disaster. At one point, I was on hold for quite some time and then transferred to another parent instead of my child. He was also taken off multiple meds cold turkey, placed on new medications, and then discharged without the current meds. Would not recommend at all."
"please save yourself from going here. some staff were very nice. one was not (Sierra)kept on harassing me and did NOT leave me alone. i was having a panic attack and flashbacks. she went to my room and threw my clothes, sheets, pillow. it is very disturbing. doctor jackson was very nice. they upgraded my pills but did NOT tell my mom about updating them. i got food poisoning from this place. lunch aids are super nice. (literally adore them.) i got threatened so many times by a girl. just because i’m gay. this place did somewhat help. i met a lot of amazing people here. the ankle device was questionable. yes it’s for safety but why have it on the ankle? i got flashed more then once. they treated the little kids terrible. beds are not comfortable. one pillow only, which is understandable. 2 snacks and 3 meals. barley kept us hydrated. but when it was snack time we had mini water bottles. 1 is to much, should be a 000.1 ❤️❤️. before i left i spoke to two staff members. they told me “please rate us a 5 star it would really help us out.” please just stop, don’t beg kids when you can’t even help them get better.. one kid went in someones room poured water on her bed. this girls room who was ONLY 12 was trashed by one of the girls. my roommates stuff got ripped up. screaming and yelling was constantly at night and in the morning. not allowed to leave the room. my pads were considered “contraband”. i felt alone the whole time. i was assaulted while being there. thanks belmont for being so “happy” all the time."
"My daughter went to Belmont Pines 2 weeks ago in crisis. She was severely depressed and spiraling out of control. The only help she received was medication. She did not get an adequate psych evaluation or an acceptable aftercare plan. She said the patients mostly did crafts, and hung out. She also said that there were a lot of fights. She was discharged after 5 days with meds and to return to school based therapy. When we disagreed with the plan we were treated with such disrespect. At discharge there was a weather emergency but they did not pause the discharge process to ensure our safety. Also there was another patients documents in our discharge packet and one of that patients medications was sent to our pharmacy for our kid. I called every day to speak to someone about the discharge and problems we encountered and got repeatedly passed off and disrespected until I talked to the correct person. I was supposed to get a call back after an investigation but it’s been a week and I doubt I’ll ever hear from them. I would not send my kid back here. I understand that not a lot can be done in the short time patients are admitted but I expected to at least start on a path to mental wellness. This was nothing more than a vacation from home for my kid who was delighted that they got a later bedtime and she made friends, and a break for us to work hard to get services set up on our own. 10/10 would NOT recommend!"
