Reviews
"I met some friends for brunch. The food was tasty and plentiful, with a good balance sweet and savory offered. The coffee is espresso based, and most of the options are very sweet. It's a very cute space with a very different (a good thing!) feel from the usual."
"Such a fun place with amazing food and good coffee! The atmosphere is great, the location in Jordan Landing is perfect. The staff is very kind and welcoming."
"I must say, the churros I tried at your place were disappointing. They were very crispy and oily, but the taste of the oil was overpowering, indicating that the oil used might not have been fresh. Additionally, I was expecting the Nutella churros to have strawberries and Nutella spread on them, but unfortunately, they were missing the key presentation. I believe that the in-store dining experience may have been better, as it could have provided a more enjoyable atmosphere and ensured that the churros were prepared properly. However, since I opted for takeout, I was left unsatisfied with the overall quality of the churros."
"I actually found this churreria while on Delta Sky Miles Dining while trying to find new places to try out in West Jordan. While I didn't expect them to have savory options, I wanted to try their churros out. As Franco's Churro House is relatively new, I cannot say too much about the atmosphere. But it is a very clean, well kept restaurant whose seating is set up similar to a cafe. It's nice and bright and open. As for the food, I had the basic churros and one of their "splash drinks" and the chocolate topping. I did order just ahead but I was able to time my arrival just as they were making the churros, so I did have the benefit of freshly made churros. Overall, they were fresh and crispy and had just about the right amount of sweetness. The chocolate topping was also very good - while I prefer my churros plain, especially if done right the chocolate works really well with them. My critique at this point is more of a personal preference as I do prefer my churros a hair softer on the outside, but I won't hold it against Franco's as mentioned - it's more of a personal taste there. Now about the "splash drinks." Based on their offerings, I feel like that's a misnomer - strawberry lemonade, mango peach, jamaica (hibiscus), horchata and I think pineapple? It's aqua fresca. :) And to be honest, I would have just called those drinks aqua fresca. You might want to order off the app or if you know they have it, just ask for it since it is not up on the main menu at their counter. It is really good horchata though and the right contrast for the churros. Other than the water they have up at the counter, it is their cheapest non-coffee option at $4. As for service - this is for the most part a fast casual type establishment so you order and pick up your order at the counter. But the employees who manned the counter were polite and courteous and for the most part I had a positive experience. I might come back for some more - they also have savory crepe dishes on their menu and I might try one of them for lunch. Maybe for a churro as well, but I would like to see a "small" serving of them on the menu (like 2-3). Overall, this churreria is pretty good and if you like your churros crispy - they certainly will be fresh. Also a little easier to go to for a good churro than a few other places in Salt Lake County as well."
"I was happy to find their new location in West Jordan, I've been a huge fan of their food since they started inside the Azteca swap meet, with that being said, it saddens me to give them 3 stars, but such decision was only reached due to the time it took them to prepare the order. 2 crepes and 1 milkshake took nearly 30 minutes. I understand that it's a family owned business and it's a new location, but they should have prepared better for rush hrs. The location was packed on a Friday night and only had 1 cashier/cook, plus 1 cook/dish washer in the back. DO NOT GET ME WRONG. The food is amazing and worth every penny you spend, but it is comfort food, and waiting 30 minutes for it does take the comfort away from it."
