"12 years ago I broke my back in a construction accident. Due to the limitations of a wheelchair I hadn't been in nature in a long time. 3 years ago, a friend told me about "not a wheelchair" I watched the videos on YouTube got really excited I could be out in nature again immediately bought one of their bikes it cost about $4,500 I rode a solid for a good month. The back wheel stopped working I pulled it apart and I found that they only put one screw to hold it. That's like changing your tire and only replacing it with one lug nut. That's fine I contacted the company and they send me the rest of the screws and I got it back together myself. Now almost 3 years later my bike stops working I pay a repair guy to come and check it out we pull off the motor noticing that the bolts holding the motor together came off. They must not have used Loctite on it. I sent the motor back to them they said they could repair it for $75, then they call me and said there's no repair they can do. But they could sell me a new motor for $700 I said the bike is barely 3 years old, could you sell me a motor at cost? they said they have no deals going right now I have to pay full price. Then they sent me an email lecturing me there's nothing they can do. And how I've gone back and forth with them that's the price! They've got the corner on the market because they have a custom made motor with reverse that no one else has. I'm disabled on a fixed income I've already spent $4,500 on the bike I love it it gets me back into nature all I was asking is meet me in the middle apparently this company is all about the money."

"If you want to spend a large amount of money to spec out a totally loaded ICE Full Fat and have someone totally fail to meet those specs and ship you an unrideable trike then Utah Trikes is the place. When the errors were brought up to UT their response was to send me a box of parts. When I found another trike shop (a 3 hour drive) that helped me with some of the issues, UT disavowed any knowledge of my problems. I would recommend finding an alternative source for your trike needs. I would list the issues, but I am not going to list all the issues because it would make this review too long. One example: The trike would throw the chain off the front sprocket every couple hundred yards. I spoke with and sent photos to UT. They said nothing was wrong. I researched the Rohloff manual and it requires a chain guide on the front sprocket. UT said no it would not supply me with the part. I bought the part and installed it; problem solved. Take this for a honest opinion of Utah Trikes and their customer service."
