Family Dollar

"Better selection than it used to have, but the customer service is piss poor. It would be nice if they had self-checkout, because it would be ore responsive than a cashier who's looking at their phone and barely acknowledges you. I find it unprofessional that the cashier is always on their phone, and has to finish up their text message or whatever they are doing before they can start checking you out.."

"I live right by one of the Family Dollars. It's full of people who don't work there, stocking shelves, but most generally they are just hanging out with the employees. Wives, husband's, etc. It's uncomfortable going in there. The store is always filthy, never stocked, everything is just tore up. Anyway. I went to the Glendale Family Dollar and was pleasantly surprised by the well stocked shelves, the organization, and the overall cleanliness of the store. I must say bravo to that stores manager and employees. I'm thinking it's worth driving to this store over walking across the parking lot to the one I live by. Yes it's that close, however, I believe I'll start driving to Glendale Thank you so much, Glendale manager and employees."

"Bought some carpet shampoo, but one of the can wasn’t spraying properly so returned it. The clerk said the manager had to take care of the problem, and she had gone to the bank and would I wait 10 minutes for her to return. So after 25 minutes waiting. I let the cashier know that I was still waiting. I asked if she could call the manager and maybe get her to come back as I needed to be on my way. The manager finally came back, but told me I had been rude to the cashier? I told her I only wanted a refund for the defective shampoo. She tried to get me more upset and wanted to wrestle with me outside. Maybe the manager simply didn’t want to give me the refund. Their was also a problem with the shampoo that I got to replace the defective one. The price on the shelf was 2.65 but they charged me 2.85, a difference of .20 cents per can. When I asked why the difference. The manager said, it’s a coupon item, did you select the coupon in the app? And I said, no. But I checked all the coupon items, looking for that one. But that item was not among them. What a bummer, Not only did the manager upset me by just irritating me even more by not being a pleasant person, but the cashier was also rude as well. I like going to family dollar because it is easier to get a few items that I need. But their personnel they hire are simply scary."
