About the Business

Level Nine Sports - Downtown

Level Nine Sports - Downtown is a premier bicycle store located at 660 400 West in Salt Lake City, Utah. Specializing in new and discounted outdoor equipment, the shop also offers quality used gear, consignment, seasonal gear rentals, and a full-service repair shop.

In 2019, Level Nine Sports underwent an exciting development project to create a destination for outdoor enthusiasts in partnership with evo. The result is a campus featuring a renovated store, an evo retail location, a climbing gym, a skate park, and an outdoor-centric hotel. The goal was to provide a community gathering place with attractions for Wasatch adventurers.

The downtown location is the largest ski shop in Salt Lake City, conveniently located off of I-15 in a 100-year-old warehouse building in the historic Granary District. Offering expert advice and rock-bottom prices on ski, snowboard, and bike gear, Level Nine Sports is dedicated to getting you and your family outside with appropriate and affordable equipment.

With plenty of outdoor activities nearby, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking, Salt Lake City has something for everyone. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Additionally, there are two other locations in Millcreek and Ogden.

If you find a lower price elsewhere, Level Nine Sports will match it, guaranteed. The shop's pro techs also provide complimentary maintenance services to keep your gear in top condition. Visit Level Nine Sports - Downtown for all your outdoor equipment needs and explore the rich history and exciting attractions of the area.

"First, the building that Level9 is in is super impressive. Whomever had the foresight to finish it out in that manner should get major kudos. It is clear that it will drive the area into a hub of what is cool. Reminds me of Austin actually in the earlier days. Second, I have to say that the staff at Level 9 was beyond friendly and helpful. Was buying skis for my kid and they provided a ton of insights and aligned us with the best possible options. That kind of customer service is unfortunately rare these days. So while prices are extremely low, don't expect the friendliness or selection to be nothing short of great."

"Went here recently to get some boots I purchased at the Millcreek location looked at. They set me up with Will and he was great. Super knowledgeable and really listened to what I needed and how I felt in the boots I tried on. Unfortunately the shop didn’t carry the exact boots I needed but I was able to walk away confidently knowing what boot I needed to purchase. Definitely recommend!"

"Shopped online. Great prices, awful service. On my first day out with my daughter in her new boots as we unbuckled this happened. I have called and sent multiple emails. I get them on the phone and they have hung up 3 times! At this point the prices arent worth the hassle. Still waiting for help, will update if they end up helping out. At this point I just want a refund. I am done."

"Great experience. Big selection of boots. Will, with great patience, helped us find the perfect boot. He spent the time with multiple choices and knowledge of what would work, and not work. Then suggested several slightly used skis to round out the package. Prices are great, especially on used and demo skis."

"Huge store with all sorts of gear from bikes to skis to snowboards and all the accessories in-between. Haven't purchased skis in over 8 years so I'm not sure how competitive the pricing is compared to other stores but I got a brand new pair of skis, bindings, and installation of said bindings for about $500. The associate who assisted me was very helpful, taking the time to find me the perfect pair of skis for my needs."
