Sol Agave

"I heard great things about here. But our experience was a little lacking. Since we only had a party of two, they put us at a table that wasn't big enough to hold the size of plates we have. At one point I had to put some of the dishes on the floor, because my main dish was overhanging the edge of the table. I ordered a fairly expensive Chole Colorado, and was disappointed when the meat was tough and chewy and all I could taste was salt. Overall I liked the atmosphere, but the quality of the food just wasn't there for the price we ended up paying. Almost $100 for two people with an appetizer and a couple (non alcoholic) drinks."

"My mind is blown with this restaurant! The food was 6 out of 5! Our server Jessica was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, such great energy. I have been thinking of everything I ate for days now and I am ruined for other food. The octopus is incredible, their ceviche is one of the best I’ve ever had! We tried several other things and loved every single bite! Totally worth the hype! I am planning to go back soon for sure. Parking garage right next door has plenty of space for anyone like me that worries about parking downtown."

"I had heard great things about this restaurant. It just didn't happen tonight. First and foremost our server gonzalo was fabulous. He is so patient, caring, goes above and beyond to serve you. He was the positive of the evening. It took forever to get our food. There were nine of us. It took about 45 minutes to finally receive one order. Another half hour went by before the last of the orders finally arrived. All of the orders arrived just warm and some even cold. The taste was good but just not pleasantly heated. The manager was very apologetic and did discount our bill. Tonight however was not the experience we had hoped for on my daughters birthday. The place was packed and people waiing for seats. That shows me Sol Agave has a good reputation. I will give them another chance because the flavors are there."

"This place most definitely lived up to the hype!! It’s a bit pricey but worth every penny. My server was amazing, super attentive and just made the experience even better. I loved the fact that they used fresh fruit in the blackberry margarita (which is super rare). The complimentary chips and salsa/bean dip was delicious but I had to take it easy to have enough room for my food lol. The server highly recommended the Enchiladas De Camaron…amazing! The filet meat on the inside was the most tender I’ve ever had. Although I was full, I couldn’t leave without trying the Butter Cake. It was hands down the best I’ve ever had! There was something unique about it but I couldn’t quite pinpoint it. I’ve been thinking about Sol Agave ever since I visited and this will be my first stop the next time I’m in Utah."

"Wow. This was amazing!! Also, this is a higher end place. They ask you if you have a reservation as you walk in, and by the time we left there were people waiting for openings. I was wearing sweatpants my wife's slippers and our daughter a unicorn shirt - and we felt underdressed. But that's on us. The food quality and experience was incredible. They were very helpful with the menus and helping us decide, My wife's dish was actually an appetizer but they added another piece and turned it into an entree for her. It was a little weird that their menu though big and thick didn't have everything in there. You had a scan a QR code to get the kids menu in the desserts. The weird and little off-putting, The flavor the food made up for it. When huge recommendation is to get that butter cake dessert. It's expensive. But worth every single bite. Will be coming again but will make sure we dress up and probably do it for a special occasion."
