Panda Express

"I came to this Panda for dinner tonight. I was helped by a highly professional and intelligent young man named Nate. I am very impressed by his people skills, his dedication to providing a very high level of service and high quality fresh product for the customer is unmatched by anybody I’ve encountered at any of the restaurant’s within a 2 miles radius of this Panda Express I ordered a Plate w/Chow Mein, Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. He very kindly informed me that there would be a 6 minute wait for fresh Kung Pao, and asked if I minded waiting for fresh Kung Pao Chicken, I replied yes that’s not a problem at all. He rang me up and I paid then sat down to wait. I had been waiting for maybe 45 seconds when Nate brings a medium drink cup, lid and straw out to me and said here you go man, it’s on the house, sorry you have to wait, I know it’s really annoying having to wait. I said thank you, you didn’t have to do that but thank you. I only waited for 4 minutes, my food was incredibly fresh and so delicious and my whole mood was improved."

"The biggest complaint is the owner/manager tells the employees to start shutting down menu items about an hour and a half before they close to apparently Dave money on food waste. So if you go within an hour of closing expect then to tell you they are out of many of the menu items. Have you ever been to a restaurant, even McDonald's where you sit down and they yell you only half the menu is available and they won't make what you want to order? I haven't either. Service is poor, as mentioned, DoorDash items take priority over customers standing there waiting to order. There are VALID reasons why this location has just over 3 stars! One of the WORST Panda locations I've ever experienced in ANY state I've been to! Time to step out up management! Have a full menu until close, fix your service problems... You are actually trying to save money while you are losing it by driving away customers and generating horrible reviews! Not a great business strategy!"

"I've been going to Panda since they opened. This one, at about 5200 West 7800 South in West Jordan, Utah has a drive through! Other Pandas I've been to often run low on prepared good, so there can be a wait. That's not been an issue at this store. The staff is friendly and the food is consistently good. This may be in the fast food category. But in my opinion it's very good."

"Food is good but service not so great. Friday and Saturday nights seem busy with takeout and door dash orders. That's all the employees care about. 15 employees working, all working on drive through and takeout. Took them 10 minutes to acknowledge us when we went inside. All working on takeout orders! Then 5 more minutes to cash us out because once again takeout orders came first before customers inside restaurant!! It's been this way for sometime. Guess if you want decent help order online! Need a different system. With that many employees working half should help customers actually in the restaurants! Other on takeout order. Not hard to figure that out!"

"Even though this is a relatively newer location, they’ve already stopped caring. When they first opened it was great. This last visit the chow me in has way to much cabbage and vegetables. They really skimped on portion sizes. My sweet Fire chicken had lots more pineapple than chicken. We bought a kids meal and even though the menu board said they get a cookie, they gave us apple crisps. When we went up to exchange it, they said cookie is not an option. Also on further inspection of the receipt, we realized they upcharged us for one of the entrees even though we didn’t get any of the upcharge items. Even though they had 8+ employees in the back and a table full of management in the lobby, service was slow and we had to wait for food to cook, and the restaurant was not busy. Also in my experience, they are pretty bad with their drive thru and order ahead. Prepare for a longer than anticipated wait and check to make sure you have all your food and it’s correct."
