Residence Inn by Marriott Tulsa Downtown

"Location was ok, staff was friendly but in the morning, basically blew off our concerns, which were: Room was not good. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom and shower and if that wasn’t enough, there were small bugs all over the bathroom. We were exhausted, so we killed them, and double checked the bed just in case. Last few Marriott properties have been less then stellar, need to start rethinking which chain to use."

"Terrific location and terrific rooms! Staff is very helpful and offered suggestions for dinner... the rooms were large and had a full size fridge and stove... lots of room... very conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants and within a mile or two of several key landmarks... I enjoyed staying here and would gladly return!"

"First of all I wanted to give 5 stars ...but lack of attention to detail... I couldn't go 5 stars. This is because (ladies at front desk 1 training) were both really nice and welcoming and on check in. was assisting with breakfast but yet still checking out customers. The weekend as a whole seemed not to busy for Residence inn Tulsa downtown. In town for a wedding across the street at the Mayo hotel... I called the night before fo confirm the note of feather free pillows as we have a down allergy and travel with EpiPens... They absolutely let me down on the overall experience. I am a platinum elite Marriott rewards member and choose this hotel chain based on positive previous experiences. I have started staying with the Hilton chain most recently....and might go exclusively with them. (Due to numerous mistakes on attention to detail) Down allergies are a real thing...and can get serious quickly. I choose to inspect all pillows as soon as I get in the room - when checking into the room first thing as I can't trust Marriott properties to look on the reservation where it reads down allergy. Feather free room. On arrival to room...you guessed it - 4 of the 4 pillows with duck feathers/down filling. Steamed at this point I took the pillows and placed outside the room. I informed Front desk as we left for our wedding.... The room was clean, breakfast staff was hard to find. Housekeeping staff had smiles on their faces. The hotel was clean and seemed secure from the rif raf walking around downtown. The bar wasn't open when I checked in nor could I grab any beers from the market. Unfortunate. Lost out on some easy business. I was thirsty!! This was an experience I felt needed to be documented to management so I posted to social media. Hopefully they can get the attention to details ironed out. If a place can't accommodate my request..just let me know I can stay elsewhere. "Check in was very slow & the desk clerk was not busy. We didn't have any washcloths in our room. We didn't have sheets for the sleeper sofa. The parking lot is an open secured lot and not a covered lot. Our room was facing the sidewalk & street. I didn't sleep because of the constant talking and yelling from the foot traffic & the car noise was 24/7."
