Genesis Health Clubs - Midtown Tulsa

"I work in the Fitness space and recently moved to Tulsa. I like checking out different gyms and studios and have a good base to compare from. Why four stars and not 5 ? Because Tulsa has a log of gym options and Genesis promotes itself as a Luxury gyms. This might of been true when it first opened but is no longer so. Is not that they lack amenities but the gym is starting to look a bit run down for a luxury gym and they try to do too many things and some of them are not well done. Lots of equipment that is starting to show wear and Luxury gyms usually replace the equipment if they can't fix it up to a high standard. More is not better a prime example of that is their Functional fitness room, it's disorganized, dirty lots of equipment there that just doesn't make sense or fit their market share Accessories, totes and stuff thrown all over the gym makes it look disorganize and is unnecessary. Now the good: Genesis is quiet space, members are polite and everyone stays to themselves. They offer a packed class schedule and Personal training have a decent selection of Free weights, Machines and Cardio equipment. Their market is for the Master bodybuilder, seniors, parents that need childcare that want to keep to themselves and just want to get their work in. Well appointed Locker rooms with showers are well kept. Shot out to the new guy at the front desk is polite, eager to learn and grow and is hard to find employees now in days. My hat of to the guy who cleans in the morning, he's always hard work moving fast and running all over the gym getting the job done. Everyone I interacted with was polite and nice."

"Best gym in Tulsa! The staff is great, the ladies in the kids club are AMAZING! By farrrrr the best gym with childcare, I’ve tried several. Mark makes the best smoothies and is always so nice!"

"Place makes planet fitness look good. Never having towels is bad enough but they're all ripped and old and there is Always trash everywhere in the locker room and the weight room, trash cans always overfilled every counter and the management really shows how little they care at all. Vasa was a better experience"

"Friendliest staff you’ll ever meet! I’m an out of towner visiting family for the holidays and wanted to get a work out in while I’m here. This was the closest gym from my grandparents and my goodness is it beautiful! I was able to get a one free visitor pass on my first visitor. I spoke with a lovely gentleman who hooked me up with some perks. After that I was off to enjoy the gym amenities. Their locker rooms have plenty of showers, steam room AND a sauna AND tanning beds AND a smoothie bar. The upstairs gym area has plenty of equipment (I was there Thanksgiving day and it was busy. But I didn’t have to wait for a machine or anything). Everything was clean and up to date. Honestly wish my home town was this cool. It’s 20$ a day for visitors but I did see their month pass was just 50$ (subject to change). Definitely recommend this gym! Thank you to the front desk staff for being so sweet and welcoming!"
