"Great place to go out and enjoy nature. It’s free to explore, and has trails that are well marked. We went when it started raining, but that’s nature, and can’t stop me from having a good time! Though it is really sad to see parts of the park ruined by litter thrown down by trashy people. Overall I would recommend coming and checking out the nice trails and scenery."

"I was out adventuring in the area and decided to check out Oxley Nature Center. Even on a cold and dreary day, what a GREAT place!! Lots of well-marked trails to hike, lots of wildlife to enjoy! So many birds - robins, cedar waxwings, various species of woodpeckers, cardinals, raptors, water fowl, chickadees, tufted titmice...the list goes on and on! And the air is alive with their birdsongs! Lots of deer tracks - and as I was very slowly driving out around closing time, the deer were out and about! As I took a few pics with my phone from out the window of my car, I could hear the hooting of an owl off in the woods. The Learning Center is AMAZING! I didn't have time to take advantage of viewing all the exhibits (every drawer has something in it to look at!); I know I'll be back! Lisa, an employee at the front desk, was SUPER interesting to chat with! What a gem this place is for the public!"

"I did a forest bathing session and it was a very cool way to spend an afternoon! Highly recommend. Note that there is a shooting range nearby. It definitely affected the ambiance of the space for me. Important to note if loud noises are a trigger for you as they are for me."

"I love Oxley! Great nature center, educational activities, solo hikes and guided walks. Rented the pavilion and had my daughter's birthday here years ago ("a botany bash!"). A great place to escape the city within the city!"

"Love love love it here. A ton of trails, the majority of them unpopulated by human beans. Most of the trails connect to each other and are easy to navigate. You are *in* nature here honnie: I saw deer; a 4-5 foot long snake; tons of birds and butterflies; and cool insects. Be mindful of ticks though yall cos this is a place you can find them, and they'll find you!"
