"Saved my dogs life and money. I had an emergency and instead of making me come in they told me what to do with the choice of coming in or doing it myself. I'm so thankful for them they saved my puppy's life. Very friendly staff Thank you, Cross Timbers"

"New to the area needing a new vet. I have a 17 year old indoor cat. Saturday, December 16 one eye swelled shut and half his face swelled up. His breathing was being somewhat obstructed through that side of his nose. So, I took him to an emergency hospital. Then on December 19th I took to a ER/dental specialty hospital. Both said he would likely need MRI/CT which could take some time to get an appointment for. Scans require sedation and because of his age and knowing he already has kidney issues he would require bloodwork before he can safely be sedated, if at all. I chose to find a local vet to do bloodwork rather than pay ER prices to do them. So, December 21st I called here to see if they were accepting new patients and if I could make an appointment. I told the receptionist what had been going on and where I had already been and that he needed senior bloodwork and an exam. I asked the cost for an exam and bloodwork for a senior cat. I was told $52 for the exam and $60 for the senior bloodwork panel. Got there and was put in an exam room (where I waited for quite some time before seeing the doctor) and asked to fill out new client paperwork. There was an authorization statement on the form I needed to sign which said I would be assume responsibility for ALL CHARGES (in bold and in caps) incurred at the time of my visit. Which is fine but I expect to be informed before hand. So, I wrote in as long as I’m informed of fees before hand. It seems reasonable that someone be informed of charges they might incur. Especially in a non emergency situations. I had been to two other vets in the past 3 days that both gave itemized quotes before doing anything further than the exam. Dr. Wiggins came in and I told her I had written that in. She did a very brief exam and took my cat to the back to draw blood. She came back and told me the bloodwork was going to cost $140. Not the $60 I was told over the phone when I made the appointment. Very frustrating and I told her so. I asked if I could call back before they closed and let her know if I wanted her to go ahead and send the blood out. The blood is good for 24 hours when refrigerated. I called 45 minutes before they closed and asked to speak to the office manager. They don’t have an office manager?!?!? So, I asked to speak to one of the vets that are owners of the practice. Neither were available… Probably because they were seeing patients. (This is why you have an office manager) The receptionist said one would call me back later or the next day. No one ever called me. The blood was drawn and my cat poked with needles and went on another stressful car ride for not. Bloodwork obviously never ran. I spent another $52 for a brief exam on top of the several hundreds I already spent at the other two ER hospital for nothing. Thankfully, this far my cat seems to have recovered as a result of the antibiotics and steroids injections he was given at the initial ER hospital. I would never recommend Cross Timbers Veterinary Hospital. If you quote someone pricing over the phone you should know it’s correct or honor the quote. I will look elsewhere or continue to drive an hour and a half to my previous vet. P.S. I would give 0 stars if it were an option."
