"Doc and staff were all professional and friendly. All were communicative about my dog’s health, needs, and recommendations about how to better care for her. The staff seemed to enjoy their work (not a given these days due to the high number of pets needing vet care vs. lack of vets in our area). DAH was willing to take in my dog as a new client and it is hard to find a practice that can do that in SWCO right now. I was satisfied with the level of care provided and medical knowledge. The vet’s prescriptions for care were all reasonable, doable, and sensible. Mine is a senior dog and has some medical needs. I have been a client at another local vet office for over 20 yrs., but wanted a second opinion for my senior dog. I want to remain a client at DAH based on what I experienced this past week. The costs were not as high as I had feared. There were plenty of people and pets that morning, but the staff maintained a cheerful and focused approach and did not seem to be beleaguered and burned out. I had visited this office years before on a weekend for an urgent matter with my dog with good results and was so grateful and relieved to find this practice was willing to add us to their client roster."
"It's hard to find a snake doctor in Durango! We are lucky to have this place. The vet was very knowledgeable and professional with our corn snake. Our sweet snake has decided to stop eating. He taught us how to tube feed our snake and carefully explained each step, with a go-forward plan to get her eating on her own again. We felt much better when we left."
