"We contacted Tommy’s to talk about a boat they had posted on the internet. It turned out that boat was sold but their salesman asked about what we were looking for. We talked about our desired boat and our trade in that would need to be part of the deal. The salesman messaged us later with a link to a boat we loved and we responded with “we love it, if we’re in what do these details look like.” Then the salesman responded with “we’re actually not taking trade in on used boats right now.” Fine, but maybe tell me that *before* I waste a bunch of time in the discussion? Edit to add: One of the frustrating things about Google reviews is how owners can put up responses full of lies and there’s no option to respond. Tommy’s wants to say that they didn’t discuss trade or that they didn’t discuss trade on *these two boats* but that *just isn’t true*. We discussed specifically the boats involved. We walked away from a boat they had sold. They came back to us, knowing that trade in was part of the deal we were willing to make. And then they took us through the process only to change their mind at the end."
