"Some of the items here are obviously / blatantly overpriced. Is it supply & demand, or is it price-gouging? Though the store may have some items other liquor stores in the area may not have. Never take wine advice from a hill-person, or from a bearded-gnome. I bought the wine one had sugguested, and it was like Trader Joe's 3 buck chuck, at 5X times the price.. 3 stars to 2: I saw a "wine tasting" here on another Friday. They had some good finger food today on May 19th 2023 when I stopped in anyway for some other products. But, the amount of wine the lady poured whomever she was, was ridiculously small, not even enough for a proper taste. She described the 2020 French Syrah with glowing words, but from the milliliters I tasted, it was obviously inferior to any recent 1.5L Yellow Tail Australian vintage. She mentioned she's only allowed to pour the empoverished drops she was sooo gracious to give away, but her stingyness left me with a bad aftertaste not only with my experience of her, but also for the store itself. It was like she was judging who was worthy of her weak pours of store product, or coveting ALL the wines for herself, and maybe even a few more drops for the two other employees gathered around for later... This all seemed to erect a siginificant barrier to anyone "tasting" and their subsequent desire to buy wine from a Dickensian-level of miserly pouring store."
"For wine in Montrose it's either the liquor store or corks I really like the way the liquor store Displays their bottles it's real easy to use the app Vivino and get ratings on them all... But the liquor store has a much better selection of Le cure's special vodkas rums whiskies eccentric cetera. They also have a wonderful selection of beers highly recommended prices are good always have things on sale and special."
