"I’m giving 4 stars because we rarely have had a bad experience while shopping here. And I say we because my family and I shop here almost everyday and are treated so nice and 99% of the employees are wonderful hard working kind people. HOWEVER I am so disappointed in the treatment my wife had when she went through Monica’s line yesterday. Listen here Monica if you do not like your job or people coming through your line you should find something else where you don’t deal with customers. You were incredibly rude to my wife and children yesterday. Customers are your paychecks and you outta be thankful for your customers. My wife considered not shopping at Safeway anymore but I absolutely refuse to let your bad attitude and mistreatment of my family stop us from coming in as a family. And I can assure you if that attitude isn’t fixed by the next time we come through your line you won’t have to worry about having to deal with anyone anymore as I will personally see to it you are no longer employed at Safeway."

"So just came from Safeway, there's something wrong with Shawna the cashier. She is rude and difficult to deal with. I dread when she is the only cashier. Have called the store, the manager on duty said they'll talk with her. Looking at recent reviews and the first one I see is about how negative Shawna is, the manager responded to this post so clearly they are aware of this problem. Really don't think I'll be going back. This woman's a problem they know she's a problem. She was syrupy sweet very insincere after being so rude!!! Read in another post this is what she does after being a jerk. Plus I have also noticed their little trick with ground beef, fresh on the outside disguising brown meat underneath. I was also told she was sick, still get help, manage your px or get another job."

"I stopped in the Montrose Safeway tonight with my daughter for some snacks and our card wasn’t working and I didn’t have any cash. So the man that was working up front paid for our snacks , and I just wanted to say how great full we are for him and the others that offered to help us out. You guys made our year! And you are so appreciated!!"

"Had the most awful experience with cashier named Shawna. I purchased a few items from deli and a couple condiments. After she scanned and bagged my items a bottled water popped up on the screen. I told her I didn't get a water. She insisted that I must have purchased a water because it was on the screen. Then told me the total again. I pulled everything out of my bag to prove I didn't get a water. This really set her off and then came the attitude as she voided the water. I asked her why she was mad at me. She said she's not, she is just not feeling good. Then my receipt comes out and she throws it across the counter and lands on the floor. She then says have a blessed day. At this point I'm mad, really mad. I go to service counter to complain to manager but i could tell she didn't care. Just got the sorry sir thing. I always leave great reviews around town. I'm not a complainer unless someone really sets me off. I dont expect people to read a review for a grocery store but hope upper level management sees this review.
