"Decent organization to rent from, wouldn't recommend trying to purchase from this outfit. Needed skis for an upcoming trip (week in advance) considered buying instead and shipping the ski's home instead of renting. Trying to purchase ski's with an advance lead time was like pulling teeth. I finally concluded that they had little to no interest in selling me the ski's. They wouldn't be able to mount the bindings for 3 days - completely defeating the purpose of buying the skis. When brought to their attention they acted incredulous and didn't seem to care. My home ski shop would have gladly made sure I was taken care of same day. These guys are perhaps the Walmart of ski stores. Their main biz seems to be rentals, good luck getting decent service from sales."

"I would not rent from this location. It took a very long time to get our equipment because they only had two people working. One of the people in our group were sized incorrectly for the boots and could not get them on at the mountain and had to exchange at another location. Another in our family had bad equipment and every time they got going, their ski would pop off. When we told Christy what had happened there was no offer of a refund they just said they’d do a safety check on the equipment. That doesn’t really help the person that had hard falls every time the ski popped off. In contrast we rented from the Copper location two days previously and had a perfect experience."

"Had a great experience renting from this location! Friendly, fast & patient service. After one day on the slopes my boyfriend decided his boots were a bit too small, and we were able to get a different pair from the Christy location in Avon with no issues or extra charge to us. We were able to return both pairs at this location, which made for an easy end to our trip. Would rent from them again!"

"It's simple. The rental experience at Christy Sports is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and move quickly to get you set up and out on the slopes. I won't consider renting anywhere other than Christy Sports and if you are on the fence just make a quick call and see for yourself how crazy good the service is! "I received the really great customer service and found the store to be really nicely organized and they had everything I was looking for. The best part is that about 6 years ago I went to a different non-Christy Sports shop for a custom ski boot fitting, and I ended up with a pair of expensive ski boots that caused me pain despite the custom fit and molded liners. After living with them for 6-years (because of how much I spent), I went to Christy and Bryan fit me for new boots and I am very happy to say that since then I have had enjoyable pain free days on the mountain and now have the most comfortable boots I have ever had. The manager, Cathy Schwartz, went out of her way to be sure I got connected with one of their best boot fitters and that I was happy with the fit before I left the store. I highly recommend shopping at the Lakewood store. I know I will continue getting all my ski gear from Cathy and the team. Thank you for such a great experience!!"
