"Larry and team very much understand that a new mattress is a big purchase for most people. They really take the time to talk through every question, consideration, and detail you need to know before making a decision."
"All I knew was that the idea of a bed adjusting to me instead of me adjusting to the bed sounded pretty good. After a couple hours with Larry the store manager (mostly spent our backs), I came away with a clear appreciation for the quality and comfort of Sleep Number and a new bed on the way. "Everything went well until we sat for the final contract with Larry. My wife and I both remember being told a mattress pad was included with the purchase. We were told that “was not said” rather indignantly, and although it was only about $150 of the purchase (1%) the discord without an apology or consolatory statement left us with a bad impression and lack of trust. Again, we both know what we heard and repeated back as we were weighing the cost and the value of the deal and to be dismissed and told we were wrong felt disrespectful. Even after we left the store when we discussed canceling the sale over the handling we decided to go forward and not to cancel on 1% principle. The money wasn’t the point, how we were treated was."
