"I visited Rifle Mountain Park on a weekend in January. The snow added to the incredible topography of the canyon. The ice caves were amazing to explore."

"Beautiful area in all seasons! There's climbing, hiking, picnic areas, camping, and it's dog friendly. There's so much to do here, and the canyon is stunning. The views all around are incredible. We love visiting in the winter to see the ice caves! It's just up the road from Rifle Falls State Park, and the day fee is $10. Truly a magical experience."

"AMAZING!! Traveled here in January, the ice caves were so beautiful, I definitely recommend visiting at least once. A car with four wheel drive or good in snow is best. Bring specialized shoes called crampons so you can hike around on the ice and some warm clothes. (It was a little bit steep on some parts but the shoes help so much) No bathroom anywhere. I hiked further down and also found a big cavern used for climbing."

"Gorgeous locale, terrific climbing, great camping. No cell service but that’s a blessing. We had perfect early summer weather in mid-June."
