"response to owner: in my original post I stated I did not have sensitivity on one of the crowns you did. I failed to say it was the second crown (not the emergency one). I did not say anything about pain. when I went back to see you (several times between 2020 and 2021) you stated that my tooth was sensitive because I was grinding my teeth and needed a mouth guard. which I later purchased from you. the first mouth guard you made fell apart, so you made me a second, more sturdy one (thank you). I went back to see you several times to ask to check my bite because it felt off, and also to let you know that after wearing a mouth guard for a while, the second crown was still very sensitive. the last time I was there, you did not see me personally. you and your assistant were communicating through your software. you had your assistant tell me that I needed a root canal on the sensitive tooth, other than that, you could do nothing more. you did not take the time to come look at my mouth to see why my tooth was sensitive...and it was sensitive because my bite was off. and my bite was off, because of the first crown you did. I call that dismissing your patient's needs and not hearing their complaints. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism and it's is a learning experience. ORIGINAL POST: I haven't written this sooner because I wanted to make sure I wasn't wrong. I went to see John Smith in 2020. he did two crowns at separate times and sold me a mouth guard. I felt my bite was completely off after the crowns. I also felt one of the teeth he placed a crown on was extremely sensitive (it wasn't sensitive before his work). I stopped going to boulder canyon dental because John Smith completely dismissed me and my symptoms. he had one of his assistants tell me that I needed a root canal and that if I decided not to get one, he could do nothing else for me. first of all, he was completely unprofessional and on top of that, he was completely wrong. unfortunately, I lost complete trust in him. never going back and would not recommend."

"Updated Review: Thank you for your quick reply. If you took the time to look closer at your patient records instead of firing back a response to my honest review you would see that I was in fact a patient of yours along with my two kids. That was the first appointment we were late to, I even called ahead and said I was running late. I showed up to your office with my three kids (one an infant) and wasn't seen because I was 18 minutes late. I am sorry I was late, sometimes things happen that are out of our control and I was doing my best to make it on time. I understand your policy, but unfortunately I wasn't given this curiosity you mentioned. You also failed to address my complaint that it is extremely difficult to make and change appointments. You're not open on the weekends and you don't take appointments past 3pm. I am a working mother without childcare so it was always very difficult to make an appointment. Customer service is very important to me so yes, when I experience poor customer service and poor treatment from a business I will write an honest review. I am sorry that my honesty makes you uncomfortable, but maybe you should consider making changes on your end as the business owner. Your lack of care and rush to judgement is even more disappointing than my original experience, good day. It’s always very difficult to schedule and change appointments. They’re not very accommodating and charge you for late or missed appointments."
