"I started at Flanders Park and walked around the lake. When my kids were little, I loved coming to this Flanders and Dawson parks. It is usually clean and does not have many, if any, homeless persons hanging around. There is a basketball court, grills, sand volleyball, covered pavilion, nice play equipment with swings and little to no graffiti. There is plenty of shade from trees and lots of grass for soccer, Frisbee, football, or kite flying. You get all of this plus bike/walking paths around the lake. You can canoe and paddle board. To top it off, the view is gorgeous!"

"This park is on the north side of McCintosh lake and is part of the 3.5 mile walking trail that goes around the lake. Plenty of parking, large grass area, concrete BB court, sand VB court, playground and picnic shelter. Easy area to get your watercraft launched into the water."
