"If anyone is looking for an appliance. Stay away from Central Appliances West! I have had the worst experience this week and still no resolution. My dryer which is only 12 months old ( bought it march 15 2023 stopped working) I called Cental Appliances West approximately 8x no answer so I decided to drive there (this was Tuesday ) bc I couldn’t get anyone at the West or Ankeny location to answer the phone. A nice man was there working and said I had to call the extended warranty people (bc we paid 300$ extra for the warranty) and I said oh I did and they have no record of our purchase. So he said he’d set me up w an apt today and someone one call to confirm etc. well it’s 4pm and no one has come or had the courtesy to call. So I attempted to call 5x today. Again no one picked up, so I called the Ankeny office 3x trying every extension they have on their automated system. Finally a man said he worked in bill (he was also nice) and that he would call the tech and find out what’s going on…. No one called back. BUYER BEWARE! If you know someone that works there and have a way to get them please message me."

"My husband and I stopped in as we were looking to replace our suite of kitchen appliances. We found a great deal on a new stainless refrigerator with a tiny ding in the freezer drawer and got it for 1/2 price of what it was at the big box store down the street. They were able to order the matching NEW dishwasher, microwave and stove for us, also at discounted prices with a 3 week turnaround. We ended up also replacing the refrigerator/freezer in our basement bar area while we were there because it was a great deal and we were already getting delivery. Delivery & installation could not have been smoother with Jeremy & Rissaun. They hooked up all the appliances easily , including both icemakers, and removed my old appliances. They accommodated my request to put some in the garage and haul some away. They were super polite and efficient. I would highly recommend you check their store out. We got a lot better service and pricing with this locally owned family business than we have ever gotten from one of the box stores."

"Bought a refrigerator two years ago it had a lot more damage then what we could see and what they told us. We are unable to move the refrigerator due to a loud noise it creates when moving and the wheels are so bad it takes two people and a dolly to move it. Long story short we are replacing a refrigerator that is only two years old."

For due diligence we compared the costs, warranties, and install/haul away against a competitor and realized we were going to save thousands. The other advantage was everything was in stock and could be installed within a week compared to months at Warner. A team arrived and had everything installed in less then 90 minutes. Jason was a huge help and very patient in showing us all the options for the sizes we needed. We also bought an upright freezer from them several years ago that is still running great. Highly recommend you look here first. They might not have the full selection of the big box stores but their deals, service/repair/install knowledge, and turnaround time is a nice plus."
