"Fantastic wares and great customer service. Poor management of grounds. The owners/workers consistently bring in very insecure personal pets to the store which are not friendly to pedestrian traffic or people walking their own dogs in the neighborhood. One should be free to walk near to the store without worry of the owners dogs escaping and threatening pedestrians. Yes. They are small. But, they are not good canine employees. Calm dogs are acceptable for the workplace, these dogs are not examples of that. The doors do not properly enclose the animals and they are not kept leashed. Just today, walking my family dog in the village near the Urban Bead Gallery, a customer walked into the establishment and by no fault of her own, a dog escaped the store and came barreling for my own dog in a very threatening manner. Luckily my dog is very secure in herself during dog-dog-interactions, but the situation could've easily become dangerous for all of us involved had their dog run into traffic or if one of the dogs had gotten defensive, as animals do not respond well when one is leashed and the other is loose. It took several minutes of uncomfortable barking and charging at my dog and I before the owner realized the animaI was loose and came to pull it back indoors. I support animals in the work place when they are safe and able to handle the conditions of their environment, this does not seem to be one of those appliions. I would love to feel safe near this store, I have fond memories of shopping there throughout my life, but I do not support unsafe business practices nor unsafe animal handling. If these dogs absolutely must continue to return to the establishment, perhaps a baby gate, leashes, or a buzz-in system shall be imposed."

"I'd give Urban Bead Gallery ten stars if I could. The owner is so friendly and helpful--and she brought her puppies! (Doesn't that make any store better?) She had answers for all of my questions, even if they were as broad as "I need a pink Delica for a two-year-old's birthday gift." She also admired the pieces I brought in to show her, making me feel proud of myself. And the selection! She has every color of Delica beads--every single one--along with a large selection of other types of beads. She also has thread and clasps and some other things I don't remember (I was focused on the Delica beads). Wonderful store, wonderful selection, wonderful owner, wonderful conversations. I don't have a picture of the store, so I'll post one of a piece she admired."

"Shop owner is always helpful and willing to explain any directions you might need. Great service for beginners. Also a great place to share ideas and learn new techniques. A lot of the local Omaha Beady Bunch come in and they are also willing (and skilled) to offer advice if needed. Just a fun place to shop. I visit several times each month."
