"Where to even start with the scheming that comes along with trying to get a room at this particular hotel. I traveled 2 hours to see my partner for the weekend & wanted to have a great time out seeing a new place. We both were checking in & the language barrier was an immediate issue right off the start! We paid the one night of 125$ that also had a jacuzzi tub in the room & then the manager said we had to put a 150$ deposit down for the room. It never said anything about a deposit on the site, bill of receipt &/or when we called previously. We did it anyway since it was already 6pm & traveled 2 hours already driving. We then checked out the next morning when the manager said “100$ deposit, yes!” We proceeded to tell him we gave him 150$ the night before in cash. He then continued to overtalk me when we were explaining why this is illegal to scam people money & that we need our 150$. He then was fed up on being explained that he was in the wrong & immediately told both my partner & I to leave….w/out giving the deposit back. Then had to call authorities to help resolve the problem which when arriving on site, talked to us & talked to the manager. We got the deposit back & now had to leave to go back where I reside since there wasn’t any other hotels available in the area….If you don’t want to get scammed, taken advantage of &/or lied to constantly DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!"

"Found ourselves here by chance after a car accident on i80. The hosts and service get 5 stars for being super kind and accommodating to my family and I during our unexpected stay. Warm and cozy during a wild snow storm."

"The front desk couldn't speak proper English and made the encounter very frustrating. They also only accept card even if you have the card information. I recommend the motel near caseys. It took me a few minutes for him to get my card info put in and a room."

"It looks like this was once a really cute place. The website and Expedia both mention that a hot breakfast is included with the room, but it’s not. I asked why and was told that the hotel had recently been sold and the new owners are making changes. Neither pool is open and they appear to have been closed for a while. They’re half full of water and filthy. The room was large but the beds had only a thin sheets and outdated bedspreads. Teeny, tiny very rough towels. I dropped something and was looking for it under the beds and noticed a lot of dust and crumbs underneath. The staff were all family and they are trying hard to make it work. They were very kind and helpful. Their young son helped us with our room key and the gentleman quickly brought us a remote when our room didn’t have one. When we checked out there were elderly members of the family cleaning the front room. They were really sweet and wished us safe travels. I do hope the new owners can restore the place to its former glory. In the meantime, they need to update their website and take out all mention/photos of pools and hot breakfasts."
