Comfort Inn Walcott near Davenport

"My advise to travelers ,Keep traveling to East Davenport, Hilton Garden Inn for clean rooms! Heading home from Arizona trip and stop at the comfort inn walcott. I wish I would have follow my gut instinct of the location and outside view of This hotel. Both were dingy and dirty. Inside i noticed a weird oder ( like fuel oil) however the clerk assured me his rooms were clean. We have stayed in several comfort inn hotels on our trip and all of them were clean and up to standards so we paid and went to our room. The carpet on the 2nd floor hallway was dirty and stained, our room carpet looked the same and the room had the same downstairs smell. The hotel is nasty and old and everything was worn, including the old soft mattress on the bed. The night stand had water stains. After further investigation of the reviews I was mortified to find 14 complaining of bed bugs. The original three or Four were positive, I have learned my lesson to look at “ more reviews” section. My husband and I looked online to find a hotel elsewhere and then heading back downstairs. The desk clerk did not want to refund us , stating we had been in the room 45 min. He did call management and they stated they would refund our money. The room is still pending on our account.the hotel rate was 117 per night, for a $45 quality room. we found a Hilton Garden Inn in Bettendorf for 120. Beautiful!"

"My main issue I have with this location is that it looks as though the paper sleeves that go around your room keys are being reused?... Sorry I paid over $100 for this room and I don't want the previous guests trash. And the lobby smells funky."

"Definitely a last minute resort hotel. Nothing fancy. House keeping clearly only spot cleans as there were left over food in drawers. Was traveling from the west coast to the east coast in the snow storm and just needed a place to crash for the night. Located right next to the highway."

"If I could give it zero stars I would. First they put me in a room right next to the elevator. I asked to move away from all the noise and he placed me in a room with no desk and no office chair. I specifically reserved a room with a desk and office chair as I was traveling on business. The front desk person was rude and pretended to not understand English. For $112 a night plus taxes and fees, I expect better. Sad that a once great hotel is now a 1 star mess."

"4/5. Rolling into town at midnight. Had to find a quick place to stay. On our way to Chicago driving from Colorado. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Got us into a room. The room is definitely 4 of 5. Clean waters, Great beds are comfortable would stay again recommend A++"
