"Our family stayed here March 1st weekend, 2024, due to the Hampton giving our room (as well as many others, to guests needing an extra night). What a TREAT!! Tiara (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was INCREDIBLE! We stayed in room 204 it was spacious & clean (former hotel employee here). Anything we needed to know Tiara was able to help us with & since we had several families at the hotel, she was very accommodating. We spoke to the Manager during checkout Sunday morning & thanked him for the accommodation. Very nice gentleman. Every staff member we encountered was kind and courteous considering we were "dumped" on them last minute! There is an Urgent Care next door, as well as a very nice Hyvee. We will DEFINITELY stay here again!! Highly recommend!"
"This has become my go to hotel when I’m in Des Moines. The staff is amazing! I’m always struck by how kind everyone is. The rooms are quiet and clean and it has everything I need. Stevie, is an amazing front desk staff. She remembers my name and greets me with a smiling face every time I come! Thank you for the comfort experience."
"Had room 203 for two days. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was one of the most spartan suites I've ever seen. Handles missing in the shower door, handles missing from furniture. No table and chairs and two small desks. Trim was falling off the closet door and even the remote had the backing electrical taped to it. We heard very step of our neighbor upstairs too. It was underwhelming to say the least. I'm used to better conditions from the Comfort Inn brand and clearly this one was built in the 2000-2010s and hasn't been touched room wise, since that time. I will be staying elsewhere next time I'm in Des Moines."
"Close to stores, places to eat and easy to get to. Comfy bed, clean room. Breakfast was great and the employees were very nice. Especially the woman taking care of the breakfast area. On the weekend we stayed there was a soccer tournament and the walls are thin. Kids running up and down the halls screaming. There are camera's at the front desk, so when I called they were on it already. Will stay again next time I'm in the area."
