Drury Inn & Suites West Des Moines

"We screwed up the reservation which made it a no show, and the manager rebooked us for a later date with no penalty. Have always had the greatest customer service from all Drury locations I have stayed at. Not to mention, the 5:30 kickback and the morning breakfast is the best I have seen. The lobby and the entry at this location is of real high quality, looks like you walk into a 5+ star."

"This hotel is convenient to the interstate, with ample, well-lit parking, and it is in an area with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. It's clean and quiet, with standard mid-range breakfast fare, and the Drury 5:30 to 7 PM dinner and drinks affair. The dinner offerings fell around the middle of what we have experienced in Drury hotels at large-- better than the older facilities, but not on a par with hotels in the chain of more recent vintage. The indoor hot tub, and the indoor/outdoor pool were a huge draw for families, and we were there at mid-week, not the weekend! The room itself was rather disappointing. Our queen beds were hard as rocks, with pillows too small for our liking. There were only 2 disposable cups in the room, which also lacked a safe. There was no freezer element in the mini-frig, an important feature for those of us who stock dry ice in our coolers. In sum, the amenities strike us as the big draw here, not the rooms."

"The hotel is very modern and clean. We got the one bedroom suite so our kids could have their own space and it was bigger than other one bedroom suites we have gotten at other hotels. The service was great, every employee was very kind and helpful. Karla and Tom in the breakfast area the morning of 3/10 were amazing, friendly/helpful, even offered to help with my baby while I ate."

"Great hotel, not the room we selected but they were able to give us a similar one that worked. Pool/hot tub was super crowded, as were the dining area-- but one of the best things about this particular hotel is the 5:30 Kickback which includes THREE FREE drinks (mixed or wine etc) for both of us adults, and plenty of food/snack items for the kiddos! The breakfast that comes with the stay is amazing and so many options too-- staff was more than friendly and we had a great, quiet night just like the first time we stayed! Location is also great-- easy to get to and next to a lot of places to explore, shop, eat etc- you can't go wrong."

"The staff made us feel like family. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice. The food was great. We've stayed here twice and had a wonderful experience both times. We were in town for a funeral. They graciously gave a complimentary dinner to our nephew whose mom had passed away. Would recommend Drury to everyone. The value is exceptional!"
