"Our family had a room booked for 3 nights. We drove 20 hours from South Texas through the night. We arrived at 1AM in a rainstorm, got our room, unloaded our van and went to sleep by 2:30 AM. We awoke to a knock at 8 AM kicking us out because they made a mistake and should have told us they accidentally "double booked" the room. They actually charged us for a full night stay as well. ...Sickening. GOOD NEWS We were welcome in Osceola, IA at Wyndham AmericInn, 111Ariel Circle, Osceola, IA 50213. Indoor Pool w/Jacuzzi, PoolTable, Great Breakfast. Right beside i35 for easy Travel. Never been happier to be tossed out!"
"We had a very nice and comfortable room. The lights from the gas station were extremely bright. I suggest getting a room on the back side of the hotel. The continental breakfast had limited gluten free offerings."
"Very cozy hotel with just 2 floors. There was a little bar area & nice breakfast area. Good breakfast. Staff was super friendly. Our only complaint were the pillows (I usually bring my own), otherwise, beds were very comfy. Rooms were clean."
"We stayed at this hotel to see the Bridges of Madison County. I've never stayed at a Cobblestone, so I was a little worried. However, I could not be more pleased. Our room was clean and our window faced an open field. They have a restaurant/bar on the first floor in case you want to eat at the hotel. The continental breakfast was good, and I liked that the hotel only has two floors. It gives off a more personal vibe. There is no elevator, but the stairs were an easy climb to the second floor. The downtown area of Winterset is cute, and two grocery stores are within a mile of the hotel."
"This is a very new and modern hotel with a wonderful collection of photographs of local scenes, The room was very nice with a comfortable bed, a spacious and well appointed bathroom, a microwave, TV, and fridge. There was a large table/writing desk with readily available plug-ins for my phone charger and laptop. I enjoyed my stay and had a very nice breakfast as well. I will certainly return to this hotel whenever I visit Winterset."
