"It’s only great for detox. A place to be outside of a negative zone from like domestic violence. Rooms are really nice. But the staffing is highly inexperienced to deal with major mental health issues. You must bring your own meds. The night staff, and the day staff don’t communicate enough. They didn’t make sure I got my pills on time for my mental side and pain management and then acted like it was my fault because I just told her this was 10 o’clock in the morning when I’m supposed to get my meds at eight I found going to St. Luke’s is far better. And they light on my discharge about the meeting me and the therapist had. And all she could do was apologize that they don’t have any resources like they said they did. Which didn’t help with my mental stability so it was better I leave then to stay with someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. But you’ll get a lot of empty apologies."

"The center is not focused on helping people in crisis. This was a great place but it has turned into a modern day mental detriment much like the hospitals in the iowa city area. I do not recommend. Edit. I will nvr go here again. I'd rather end my life than have my meds and treatment be a spectacle and treated as a liability."

"Called earlier tonight for available resources for someone having a mental health crisis. Was told committal, guidelink center and UIHC. After the suggestion of UIHC I said shame on you for even suggesting that. Due to the person's personal experience UIHC is NOT a safe place for them to be. As far as the guidelink center staff - it is run partially by Mobile Crisis and they have no empathy and don't understand a mental health crisis and create lies. As far as the staff on the mental health side of the building don't have the expectation that you will be taking meds the same time as you did at home. You take them when they give them to you. Most of the staff was kind. The guy who answered the phone earlier tonight hung up the phone quickly. Didn't identify himself at all. Accused me of being rude because i made the statement about UIHC, He was rude as all get out. No care or concern. I wouldn't go to any of those places nor trust anyone who works there. Not a safe place."

"Everyone was Great!!! I love the care and the way they made me feel like a family member! The only two that were Rude and not nice were Chandra and Tommy! They work nights and I was told “I don’t know what You Expect me to do”!!! I was so Loved and taken care of by everyone, even Lee the lady that gives us lunch stayed past her work time to work a puzzle with me and just Talk’"
