About the Business

Phoenix Academy is a primary school located at 1110 North 66th Street in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Our institution is dedicated to educating and inspiring students with learning differences to reach their full academic potential and succeed in both school and life. We understand that every child is unique and may require a different approach to learning, which is why we assess each student's individual learning style and implement research-backed methods to help them thrive in and out of the classroom. With a low student-to-teacher ratio, we ensure that each student receives the personalized attention they need to grow and excel.
We believe in providing every child with the opportunity to learn in an environment that suits them best, with 85% of our students receiving financial aid. Last year, our students in grades 4-8 surpassed their projected growth goals in reading as set by MAP (Measures of Academic Progress). Our Summer Kickstart program offers students of all ability levels the chance to learn new skills, retain knowledge from the previous school year, and prepare for the upcoming year. This year's program will run from July 8 to August 1, with a cost of $750 per child or $500 per child for current Phoenix Academy parents.
Our recent Scholarship Luncheon was a great success, thanks to the support of our community. We had the honor of recognizing our award winners and hearing from NFL Player Xavier Cooper. For inquiries or more information, please contact us at (402) 390-0556 or inquiries@phoenixacademyomaha.org.
Reviews
"My son attended Phoenix Academy and absolutely loved it. The teachers and staff are wonderful, kind, hands on, and know the struggles of dyslexia and learning disabilities. My son went from the 1 percentile to 52 percentile which I think is a miracle. God Bless this school. Thanks Phoenix!"
"Phoenix academy was definitely a big part of why I don't struggle with dyslexia as much as I used to, but that dose not change the fact that the principle was not kind to me. I can remember being taken out of class and being yelled at by the principal every time I didn't get my homework done. I understand that I was in the wrong for not doing my work but being yelled at for it just made me shut down and not want to go to school. I also still struggle with math and feel I was not given any extra even though I clearly needed it. I attended Phoenix some time around 2012 so the principle may have changed since then but looking at other reviews I doubt that she has."
"The principal is very unprofessional. She fails to tell information about your child she also made my child go outside in front to walk a red line in front of the school with no coat on and it was cold outside with no supervision or anything. My child could had got kidnapped or anything and her response was (well I had my window open) if your not worried about your child safety then send your child to that school. She even called my daughter (Ms. Jasmin) which is my name. So unprofessional and disrespectful."
"So far so good for summer school but as far as even getting contact back for this next school year has been ridiculous. Then it starts at 8:30 and I dropped my daughter off at 7:45 and she was told to go sit outside until 8:00. Wow and I am paying for this and it’s smaller you would think my daughter could sit inside in the lobby."
"Our daughter had an outstanding experience at Phoenix. In one year, she jumped 2 grade levels in both Reading and Math fundamentals. It was a critical year for her, when she desperately needed learning to become fun again, to develop confidence in her academic skills, and to master the basics. Faculty and staff worked diligently alongside her, championed her uniqueness, and stretched her to new levels. She's now in 11th grade and does AP level work. THANK YOU AGAIN, PHOENIX ACADEMY!"
