"My husband purchased private dance lessons with Alex as a birthday surprise for me. We did a 4-pack of classes/once a week for four weeks to learn the Salsa for an upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic. My husband and I really had no prior dancing experience but that didn't stop us from having a lot of fun learning the Salsa. I really enjoyed Alex's teaching style; it was informative and focused on the basics at first, but the difficulty level progressed each week as we got better/got more practice in. Alex is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about dance. It was also obvious that helping people have the best experience, no matter what they are celebrating, was a top priority for him. Whether you are looking to learn a dance for an upcoming trip, a wedding, or just to learn something new, I highly recommend Alex & Simply Ballroom! "If you are reading these reviews debating whether or not you want to take dance lessons. The answer is yes. And you want to take them with Alex at Simply Ballroom. My fiancé (now husband) and I did the same. We googled it. And I am so grateful to have found Alex as he worked with us for our first dance. He was very good at giving us the one on one direction we need during the group class. Then from there we booked private lessons so he could help us choreograph something simple for our first dance. I cannot tell you how happy I am we did this. Rather than being the awkward few minutes while we sway back and forth, we were prepared with a dance that made us feel like we had our life together. Ha ha. It was such a hit! He was perfect with working with us on a different approach as we wanted to dance to an imagine dragons song. He was up for the challenge. I enjoyed class enough that I brought my daughter in for salsa lessons. And after just two classes we were also able to dance at the reception. Not to mention - he taught my husband how to dip a woman and I tell ya what, that’s a life skill that is paying off. Every dip photo we take is now gorgeous ha ha. Highly recommend. Best money we spent for our wedding day."
