"Ridiculous rules, they are banning headphones to "make our focus on school better," even though a good few kids aren't going to graduate and couldn't care less. This is all based on studies, but you don't see me going around banning spongebob because it supposedly makes kids stupid. The staff should be something they take care of before implementing this kind of thing. Only a few teachers I would say are actually good at their jobs, yet Westside still tries to hold the claim that it's the best school in the state. We can't go to the bathroom during class, and the only time we get to go is during the 5 minute period between classes, and if you're late because you were busy on the toilet, you're counted tardy. The only reason I come to school is so my mom doesn't go to court and to talk to my small group of friends. I do not recommend sending your kids here if you care about their mood towards going to school everyday. They're removing any fun that could've existed to begin with and draining any creativity from their students."

"I was an foreign exchange student at Westside in 2009/10. It's really a great school, metaphorically and in size since there are more than 2000 Students there. Besides the macbook every student got, there was a real sense om community throughout the entire year I was there. And most of my teachers were great and really wanted the students to succed, even the foreign exchange students who were there for only a year. I would be glad to send my kids to this school one day!"

"I graduated from here. It's a wonderful school, with one of the best learning environments. The schedule set up is one of the few schools like a college, and WHS is one of the best schools to prepare you for college."

"Westside is a great place to attend if you are looking for the best education. But, the teachers can be incredibly rude. They want students to respect them, but apparently teachers aren't supposed to respect the student. How ever, being a student there, there are a lot of fights and it is ridiculous. I am only recommending this school of you are looking for the best education, not for the best environment."
