"Absolutely love the staff at Austad's!! They are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them to my golfing buddies, that they need to check them out. In my opinion they go overboard to make sure that you are getting exactly the club setup that you need to help improve your game. My wife and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences when shopping there. Either for equipment or accessories and clothing. She was thankful that they have expanded their women's select of clothing. Check them out before going to the big box stores to fill your golfing needs."

"Best experience ever with Ken at Austad's Des Moines. I brought in my current irons so that Ken could review my swing (and my challenges) on the video screen, he lined up six different options to try and we quickly found the iron set that added 20 yards without changing my natural swing. I felt that I had his undivided attention while we worked through all the choices. Prices were competitive if not better than other golf equipment stores, and if you are looking to find a place that truly cares about finding you the best choices to improve your game, look no further than Austad's. "Bogey golfer here. I was looking to replace my 20 year old iron set. Went to 3 OTHER golf places and didn’t have a very good experience. The people at the 'other' places were not very friendly & didn’t acknowledge me. Those 'other places' made me feel like I 'inconvenience' them with questions and testing clubs. Came to Austad’s and they are 100% better than the other local golf places I went to. Walking into Austad’s within seconds someone came to greet me and ask me if I had any questions and was not in a 'pushy' salesman way. Nice and friendly and answered my questions. First time I've been fitted, no pressure towards one brand over another. The salesman(forgot his name) gave me a the low down on each brand/model and answered all my questions and even gave me a couple tips. I went in thinking I'm going to get TM or Callaways. Surprisingly TM was the worst out of the 5 sets I tried, thank goodness I didn’t just purchase without being fitted. Tried several iron sets and surprisingly I got Pings. The simulator results and feel of Pings were quite a bit better for me. Again Austad’s didn’t sway me one way or another. I will be back and highly recommend going there for new clubs."
