"Room was very nice. Was disappointed the hot tub was not available but that's okay. Would stay again."

"Entering room, audio was coming from TV. Could not mute or defeat. Desk clerk came up without replacement remote or batteries. Took another 15 minutes for next clerk with fixed remote. In mean time, HDMI cable was unplugged to silence the monster until cavalry arrived. Breakfast was horrible (seems to be normal since pandemic), no forks."

"Avoid!! Rude staff, lying about no crib available, then bringing a pack and play without setting up. If you don’t specifically ask for room cleaning at check-in, they say they are understaffed to be able to clean your room. Rusty shower head, closed pool any many more. I am a long time Marriott customer and will definitely not stay here ever again. Looks like they milked the “limited number of hotels in college town” situation and never updated the facility"

"My daughter and two toddler grandchildren booked a room here because it stated it had a pool and hot tub. They were closed until further notice. Upon entering our first room we opened up the pull out couch for the boys only to find dead bugs. Mike at front desk transferred us to another room. More dead bugs and dirty disgusting floors. Go see Mike again. Transfers us to third room. He goes with opens up the pull out couch, MORE DEAD BUGS, a pair of socks and hairs. The most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been in! This is what Marriott has to offer?! We left and went to a Hampton Inn. Clean room. Lamond at Marriott tried to help but knew absolutely nothing, but did help load my luggage upon our exit at 11 PM to search out a new hotel!!!"

"This place has a neophyte staff who act like they have never worked in a motel before. No one staffs the front desk. When you find the bell and ring it, someone comes from somewhere else on the ground floor. The TV was some weird system and we were too scared to try it with the other screw ups we experienced. My wife wrote a detailed review and sent it to Marriott. The local innkeeper wrote her back and suggested that she stay somewhere else next time. The fire alarm went off at 8:30 am as we were trying to leave and an outside buzzer sounded for a very long time. In Virginia, when a fire alarm goes off in a public place, it must be evacuated. ONLY the fire department can declare the building safe. This isn’t the case in this corner of Iowa. We will never go back."
