Tasty Tacos

"It's been over 20 years since I have been in Des Moines and able to have a Tasty Taco. I remember that they were good but I upgraded my taste memory because they are DELICIOUS! I need to figure out how to get to DM more frequently or better idea...Tasty Taco's open some locations in KC! You will be $$ rewarded beyond your wildest dreams because in this town you will have no competition and your food is so much better than what is here. All said food at Tasty Taco's deserve more than 5 stars. My mouth is now uncontrollably watering just writing this review!"

"While shopping in Ankeny today we stopped at Tasty Tacos. We've been past this location countless times but just never stopped. I thought they were just another take on Mexican fast food, like Taco Johns or Taco Bell, boy I couldn't have been more wrong. The two times we eaten here it was insanely busy, down to only a couple parking spots and a line of people inside to place their orders and those waiting for their too go meals. I was particularly impressed at how efficient their system is, both times it was busy but very little wait to order and a very short to have it ready. We both ordered a cheese enchilada, I had the flour taco and Pam had the hard shell. I can't ever remember eating pork so tender and flavorful, anywhere, the cheese enchiladas were awesome, they could have been a meal by themselves. We both were stuffed when done, in fact we both had to stretch to eat it all, but was very well worth it. I give this Tasty Taco location a two thumbs up and my coveted cleaned plate award. We will be returning for sure."

"The food here is excellent and the servings are very large, yeah they are much more reasonable Taco Bell. There’s flour taco has a very unique texture and taste. Like chipotles everything is handmade and fresh. The sauce is so unique the people coming to buy just the sauce I had never heard of tasty taco before and now I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a restaurant that is better than Taco Bell, Chipotles, and Moe’s. I also have the flour tostada and it was great as well. I would recommend this to family and friends who are looking for something when they can’t find the other restaurants that are used to."

"Wow - that beef original taco is legit! We were traveling through and wife insisted we stop since she used to live there. One taco is enough and it was delicious!! We also got some flour chips and queso - again, delicious! We have something similar in Omaha (California Taco) but this may have been better. Either way, worth the visit!"
