Nonna’s Pizza & Pasta

"I don’t know where to start but Nonna’s is probably the only pizzeria that I will be going to while I’m in iowa. From the customer service to the food everything is great. The guy who took my order was so cool and professional. This was my 2nd time going there and I got the beef patty with cheese and pepperoni, Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza and the Shrimp Toscana (add chicken). I will be coming here more often than I thought. 100/10 if you haven’t ate here I suggest you should rush there now."

"Clean, happy atmosphere with amazing food! We were met with smiles and warm greetings upon entry. They were all very helpful, and the food came out quickly with generous toppings. They didn't skimp on quality, either. We tried the round pizza, a calzone (AMAZING), and the garlic knots. We loved the soda selection and full bar if you want that. All awesome. Most pizza places seem to miss the mark, but this is the one for us."

"There are not a lot of places like this in central Iowa.. Nonna’s has an amazing variety of pizza slices (highly recommend the Sofia Loren and the Buffalo chicken) with a super kind and helpful staff. Slices range from $4.50 to $5.50 (from what I could see) but that’s pretty standard with the whopping size of the slices. My wife and I ordered three slices between us so we could both have our own “big” slice then split the third. Great pizza!"

"Tonight we checked out Nonna’s Pizza & Pasta and it was AMAZING! Donny is the owner and he and his staff are super friendly - everyone greeted us and talked to us when we arrived. I feel like we actually made new friends, everyone was so great. We didn't get there until after 7 and they'd had quite a rush earlier so their pizza by the slice options were limited, however normally they have a huge case full of options. We ordered Nonna's Specialty and it. was. delicious. We split a salad, and had delicious drinks from their fun bar. I can't wait to go back earlier sometime and try different options by the slice. Well worth the drive to Ankeny!"

"Pizza slices were huge and delicious. There are so many options and reasonably priced around $4-6/p compared with the portion. We ordered sausage and Philly steak, pizzas, the doughs were thin and crispy, toppings were full and the sauces were just right amount. Not too much too greasy and salty, just the right amount. We also ordered chicken Alfredo pasta. The pasta was just fine, some pasta sticked and not separated. But it was forgivable given the price and the speed they made it. The chicken was the highlight of the dish. They were thinly sliced and well seasoned, then carefully fried to perfection with a crispy skin without breading. I liked chicken over pizza though they were all very good. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and I didn’t need to wait too long for food. It’ll be my go to place for Italian food."
