"This was our first visit here. Let me say the food and service was amazing! To start off our server he was very helpful and took the time to answer our questions and explain items on the menu. We had the house special Clam soup a day crab cakes. Simply amazing!!! This soup was amazing and so flavorful. Our server said it is made from scratch and had been sim.ering all day. Best soup we have had hands down! I had one of the Saturday evening specials. It was a Halibut steak. My spouse had the King Crab Legs, Lobster Tail and Shrimp. All were excellent. To finish off we had the Carrott Cake. All amazingly flavorful."
"I have been there a few times in the past and was pushing 5 stars. Early Nov 2023 Friday afternoon food was well below average fir a seafood place. Forgot to take pic of shrimp and grilled scallops."
"Let me start by saying our server was kind and gracious. The food however was amazingly bad and poorly executed. The peel and eat shrimp wasn't devained and was very over cooked. It came on a bed of lettuce which made me think of Gordon Ramsey picking a silly garnish off of a terrible plate. The calamari is really jumbo squid, which is really not calamari no matter what people on the west coast say, so we were disappointed but it wasn't bad other than being a very small portion. Then came the sushi rolls. Awful all around. They actually used long grain rice instead of sushi rice. We returned the rolls after a few bites and they offered to take 30% off of them. I said since they weren't made wish sushi rice they were certainly not what we ordered and they took them off the bill. The only reason they didn't get 1 star was because the server was very kind and understanding and they did take the sushi off the bill. This kind of poorly executed food is embarrassing for Iowans since this place somehow has 4.4 stars. Really? If you've ever had decent seafood you will be disappointed here."
"Chilean Sea Bass is really good. Mom really like the salmon pasta. Salads are disappointing with only iceberg lettuce. For the price I expect mixed greens or at least romaine lettuce. The service was really good. Warm sourdough bread with butter is good. And they sell it by the loaf when available. Views of the lake are always a pleasant plus."
