"While in town visiting family, we stopped into Fareway for milk and a few other things for the house. And as always, I grabbed some Iowa-made products to take home to Virginia, plus a Stella Moscato flavor (French Vanilla) I haven't seen in my local stores yet. It's been quite a few years since I was last in this store, but I swear it's even nicer than I remember. The butcher counter and produce department were both particularly impressive to me and my husband. I so wanted to stock up on the asparagus since it's currently on sale for half of the discounted price I normally pay, but it wouldn't have survived the long trip home. My other favorite thing was the whole checkout process. We started to get in line behind my in-laws, and a young man immediately opened another register to ring us out. Then, when I saw a young lady wheel their cart out, I remembered that Fareway has baggers who will take your groceries to your car if you want them to. We don't get this kind of service back home, so I have to admit that my husband and I felt spoiled and a little envious."

"A grocery store is not a "normal" business for customer reviews, but this one astounds every time. I have shopped here more frequently in the past six months simply because I have never, even once, experienced any staff member in a bad mood or without a smile and a willing helpfulness. I can find items for recipes here that I struggle to find elsewhere and when I ask for help or question availability of a product, I have never experienced any issues with any staff member knowing the answers required."
