Taylor and AJ were not only incredibly professional but also exceptionally kind and patient. It's not every day you come across individuals who genuinely care about your needs and strive to provide the best possible service. Their assistance made what could have been a stressful task completely hassle-free. I'm grateful for their help and highly recommend Big O Tires in Altoona to anyone. "I went into Big O in Altoona, IA just to do an oil change and get just a general check on my car about a week ago. While I was there Brandon the front desk guy tried to upsell everyone everything (I noticed as I was sitting in the lobby). While my car was getting worked on, they “took a look at my cabin filter” and said mine was really dirty. Brandon said “ ‘Full transparency’ here is your filter” and proceeds to show me a dirty filter to try to get me to buy a new one and also get the service done on it. I believed them, but I figured I could just do it myself. So now, today rolls around and I go to change the filter. Turns out, MY ACTUAL FILTER, is way dirtier than the one they showed me. Mine had a mouse living in it apparently (see photo). These people are showing you a dirty filter they have on hand to try to upsell you. Cause that filter they showed me at the shop DEFINITELY was not the same one. Now I’m concerned if they actually did the work they promised i.e. oil change, tire rotation, fluids topped off. BEWARE OF THE FIBBERS WORKING THERE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This whole this is actually comedic. Brandon was not in fact “transparent”."

"I won't use them again. My wife has taken our car in for an oil change twice, and each time she goes in, they "find" something that needs repaired, at a cost well.over $1,000. Last time, it was brakes, needing new calipers, rotors, and pads on all 4 wheels. This time, it was rear control arms. And no mention of the brakes, which haven't been touched since their last inspection. They've never tried to pull this on me, only on her. Sorry guys, you've chased me away. And don't bother replying with your same old response about contacting at the website."

"Worst experience at a shop period. Never go here even if there is no other option. Went in for an alignment, probably didn’t do anything to the car. Didn’t even make it home before a tie rod almost came all the way off with my wife driving and my two daughters in the car. Now 9 mothers later I pull a front tire to replace a power steering line and my front tires that where brand new in march have belts showing half way around the inside. When I call the store the guy just gets defensive, total jerk. Am telling everyone I can to never go here, worst shop I’ve ever been too! Would give negative stars if I could."

"DO NOT GO HERE! I went here on July 27 for tire alignment and rotation and to have my air filter and cabin air filters replaced. Their mechanic, Nick, drove my car 3 times while staring at his phone. I told the 3 people in the store that I didn't approve of that. The people were the store manager, Shawn, Nick's dad, and another person. They all laughed and said "that's Nick for you" which was also completely unacceptable. The felt cover and 2 screws were not put back over my cabin air filter, so now the cabin air filer cover will not stay on (pictured on the floor). Additionally, someone pulled back on the cover to the side of my glove compartment and snapped one of the clips. So, now that won't sit closed and it's broken. I have submitted 2 forms and 1 phone call through the Big O Tires contact form and it hasn't resolved the issue. The store manager, Shawn, emailed with me a few times and his last email was "I am so very sorry..yes this is my fault I will get a hold of u tommorow" and that was on October 29th. He did not call me and has not responded to the 3 emails I've sent him since. I've also emailed Willis Automotive since they own this location, but I'm waiting to see if I hear back from them. Moral of the story: the work is unacceptable and when they neglect and/or break something on your car, they will not make it right. Edit to add to the "response from the owner" to again state that I've submitted my complaint to that exact website, 3 times as stated in my review. Twice by writing it up and once through a phone call. No one is working to fix their terrible service."
