"Traveling south on I-29 our motor home blew two tires. I called one place to see if they had the size we needed. They didn’t but referred us to Pomp’s. They had our size tires and within 45 minutes a service truck arrived to change them. The gentleman that came was friendly and efficient. We were on the road within an hour! I highly recommend Pomp’s!!"

"This interaction was from a couple of months ago, and I initially did not post a review, but sought counsel from a forum of truckers about the experience, to assure myself I was not out of my mind. The consensus was overwhelming, this is a place to avoid. I reached out to corporate, a couple of times, and eventually got a call from an area sales manager in charge of this location. The conversation was a waste of time, and eventually, just a pissing match about how much revenue their location generated. Guy had no practical tire experience, defended their poor practices, I wasn't being adversarial - just trying to point out safety issues. "Wheel off" failures are caused by improper practices. Many are killed every year by a set of duals through their windshields. Stretched and stressed wheel studs are the primary cause. Potential lawsuits, if traced to the installer - well, you'd think they'd be a bit more interested. Apparently not. Dissatisfied customers in the trucking industry rarely complain or seek resolution. They simply never return. I'm still scratching my head as to why I even attempted to alert them to the issue. They do not use a torque wrench. The shop manager attempted to convince me their air guns 'magically' torque lug nuts to 450-500 ft/lbs and 'break away'. This is not the case. A friend and I removed the wheel end (4 days later) that they 'torqued', and one that was actually torqued correctly months previously, to find they had torqued the lug nuts to something in excess of 900 ft/lbs - 2 guys on a breaker bar and the lugs would barely move. This is one of the worst shops and experiences I've had in 9 years of owning a truck. I wouldn't take my lawnmower here. Shop techs slouching and watching videos on their phones - a mixture of ignorance and laziness when it comes to 'service'. I asked for a quote on 12 tires, shop manager couldn't be bothered with an answer. Just told me to give him a call when I wanted them. Aluminum rim dropped on concrete and gouged, tire replaced 'inside out' (no performance issue, just a mater of work ethic), AND, I had to supply my own air chuck in order for them to air the tire. The shop 'techs' work on commission, so don't expect anybody to jump on a flat tire in a hurry - they're waiting for the 18 tire job to come in for their commission cut - unless they run out of videos to watch and figure out they need to do some work to supplement their hourly wage. They may be great for a medium to large fleet owner, but for a one man operation that seeks quality and service, (and a torque wrench) - they're a hard pass."

"Dan really helped us out! Our RV was stranded, Progressive insurance roadside assistance dropped the ball and left us waiting for 2.5 hours without telling us they couldn’t find anyone to help us with our 2 dually flats. My husband called around and got in touch with Pomp’s and they were out there quicker than the ETA they gave us. Great service!!!"
