"This wonderful beach is on Hanalei Bay. There is a reef far out by the open ocean protecting the bay from waves. The sandy Beach gives way to a coal reef close to shore. It was turbulent when we went, but we still saw plenty of fish and also a turtle. I did find fishing line in the water, but I was able to remove the lines, hooks, and sinkers from the reef. This is a great beach for snorkeling."
"Fantastic beach on the beautiful Hanalei bay. It is opposite the popular Hanalei beach with the peir, and has much less parking. However, we enjoyed the snorkeling, though the waves were a bit rough."
