"I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Tasting Room in Koloa, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! As a wine enthusiast, I was blown away by their impressive selection of red wines from California. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect glass to complement my meal. Speaking of food, the menu offered a variety of mouth-watering options, but I opted for the lamb rack, which was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and tender, and the presentation was impressive. My companion's rye eye steak was also cooked just right, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with a warm and inviting decor. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive servers who made sure our glasses were always full. Overall, I highly recommend The Tasting Room for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. Be sure to check their limited operating hours and make a reservation ahead of time to ensure a spot. Can't wait to go back!"

"Pocket friendly fine dine experience with limited but delicious menu. Everything was cooked to perfection. A must visit place if you are in and around Koloa. The french onion soup was definitely the best on the island as described by our server."

"Underground one of the best restaurants on kauai! Excellent service / food and atmosphere. Perfect date night spot. We loved the olive tampanade, French onion soup , and expansive wine/ drink menu. The chicken was so good and my husband loved the pork special. Very good sized portions so you don’t leave hungry! Can’t wait to come back! Side note: I do wish we could make reservations online:) You need to call for a res:)"

"Fantastic rustic restaurant away from the resorts. We split a bottle of bottle of barbera and the small charcuterie board. He had the French onion soup (delicious and not too salty) and short rib special. I had the pesto mahi mahi, which had a yummy amount of garlic. Great food, great service, great time."

"I sometimes really wish I could add half stars. I want to convey that this restaurant is likely better than most of the resort-based restaurants, but it wasn't quite as good as Avalon Gastropub in Princeville. I compare them because they are sort of in the same class/vibe (wine bar vs. gastropub). So, on a tiered system, this restaurant would be more on the second tier. I thought that everything that we had was well done, but nothing really wowed us. The salmon special with the beurre blanc sauce that we tried was probably the best thing that we tasted there. I would say that everything was good, but don't expect anything inventive. Overall I would recommend this restaurant over almost any of the resort restaurants that we tried. We found that on Kauai, sticking with the highly rated food trucks and the local restaurants gave us the best food experiences! So go try out The Tasting Room!"
