"UnHappy Hour. Very Disppointed! Saw on their website that they had happy hour from 5pm to 6pm. With reasonably items. Three of us showed up at 4:50 wine of people at the door. The hostess seated the first 12 people and when she got to us she said there were only 2 seats left at the bar. The rest of the restaurant was totally empty. I said we would take the two seats at the high top table and one of us would stand. She said we not allowed to stand and eat. I said ok can we sit at a regular table? She said yes, but the items would be full price, no happy hour prices. So the bottom line is happy hour is only for the first 14 people and everyone else had to find another place. The regularly menu is way over priced and there are plenty of other good resturants in town who welcome more then 14 customers. The website does not mention limited seating.(Instagram does I found the next day) even so it is a terrible business model to encourage a happy hour prices and turn away the majority of people unless you if you are not willing to pay full price. We will never go back and will spread the word!"
"Food was very good and the service was great. The music was a bit of a miss for a French bistro spot (Chili Peppers) but was ok once they turned it down. ~$100/ person with a shared appetizer. Worth a visit."
"Fantastic birthday dinner at Tangerine. Delicious oysters, salad, and escargot - don’t miss the baguette to soak it all up. Game hen main was excellent as well. Service was top notch and included a hand-signed card from the staff that really went above and beyond to make it a special evening. Highly recommend!"
"A great addition to downtown Truckee. Had the trout, steak frits and cassolette mains and all were excellent. Tartar starter is exceptional. Ravioli and and Brie starters also very good. Service is nicely paced, never any sense of rush."
"French onion soup was amazing! Even better than what we’ve had in Paris. Rest of dinner was excellent too. Only complaint is food sat on servers’ counter too long and was no longer warm when finally delivered. But new and some growing pains no to be expected. Went with friends about two weeks ago and want to return tonight. Very special."
