"Great place and great staff. The menu was amazing... I wanted to try all the different meats, it all looked so delicious. I got the Fried Pickles and the Angus blue burger. It was juicy, cooked perfectly as ordered.. medium rare... the bun was good quality too. And the blues music was the perfect atmosphere."

"Smokey's Kitchen is a good BBQ restaurant in Truckee, CA on Donner Pass Road just off the 80 freeway. I had the Whiskey Steak which was very good and was basically a rib eye steak with their whiskey sauce (normally they use a New York steak). Friendly staff and reasonably sized food portions. The corn bread is really good. During the day you can sit out on the patio and get a good view of the local mountains."
"My new favorite BBQ spot in Truckee. Their brisket & pulled pork are to die for. Not to mention, their Habanero, and mild sauces. *Chef’s Kiss* went home with a couple of bottles. Donna served our table with such warmth, that we felt like we were in a friend’s backyard. Make sure to stop by!"
