"The restaurant was full so we ended up in the bar extension- Nobody’s market. We were able to order from the main menu anyhow. The cocktails were great, dessert was great, service was great as well, we will come back for sure!"

"Such good food. We got the hanger steak, Brussels sprouts salad and bison short rib campanelle and every was out of this world. Even the bread is delicious. Cocktails were great too. It's small and you will be very close to your fellow diners. But the food is unbelievable"

"We had a great time at Moody's! We sat in the bar area to watch Sunday football - really fun, inviting, and cozy kind of atmosphere. Our service was excellent and attentive. We ordered the special (not on menu) 13oz Wagyu Ribeye, medium rare, it had a variety of veggies with a glaze, on top of a tomato puree with blackberries. I wish I knew the exact description of the dish, because it was beautiful and delicious - sorry! We also ordered the truffle deviled eggs, truffle & parmesean fries (to-go), and the Bourbon Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. Everything was amazing. Absolutely recommend, will definitely be back!"

"Wonderful meal! Jamie K was our friendly server and even held the baby for a bit while we ate! Recommend Octopus and beet salad starters. The wagyu ribeye special was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Halibut filet was huuuge and flavorful!"

"Moody’s is a Truckee staple that’s been around for a while. We last ate at Moody’s about 10 years ago when our then 12 year old son raves about the elk burger. It was just the two of us for a late birthday celebration and we opted to sit in the quieter dining room rather than the boisterous (but fun) front area. Service was very good and the food was as expected. Nothing truly outside of the box but predictable and comfortable. We split the beet salad which was light and refreshing. We then split the duck served two ways (breast and confit) and the steak frites with bernaise sauce. I had an east side cocktail served in a heavy coupe which I really liked. I imagine their other cocktails like the queen bee and the paper plane would be tasty too. This place is rather expensive for Truckee and it may be another decade before we go back as we continue to try some of the other new and old restaurants in town."
